BRIEF / 03

What does this selection demonstrate, and which contribution can you honestly explain?

A portfolio is an argument about your work. Each example needs an intention, an accurate account of your role and a reason it belongs beside the other images.

  1. Select work that demonstrates a clear creative intention.
  2. Keep references, team contributions and photographic credit distinct.
  3. Use educator feedback to identify the next development question.

THE LEARNING CONVERSATION

A subject with
room for intention.

01

The learning conversation

Choose authorised work that makes the intention and your contribution understandable. An entry can explain a brief, selected alternatives, collaboration credits and the feedback that shaped the result.

02

A practical point of view

A portfolio should not use stock photography as your own achievement or imply an unawarded qualification. Ask the institute how portfolio critique, permissions and evidence of progression are organised within the current programme.

03

Questions for your programme discussion

  • What does this selection demonstrate?
  • Which images can I publish?
  • What feedback supports the next step?
04

Before choosing a place

Ask for the approved full syllabus, teaching hours, delivery address, materials or kit, educator arrangements, entry requirements and total costs. Confirm attendance, assessment and completion wording in writing. No fixed dates, campus facilities, faculty biographies or guaranteed placements are asserted here.
